brushrest bishan

The Cave in The Far Away Mountains, brush rest (筆山bǐshān)

A small brush rest (筆山bǐshān) in pale glassy green serpentine with hardwood stand. This stone was created in the intense heat and pressure caused by two blocks of the earth's crust grinding together in a shear zone during the Ordovician period. Carved as a mountain landscape with a cave beside a waterfall and tree.
